Uses

After spending some time looking at everyone's /uses pages on uses.tech I decided I wanted to add one to my site too! So if you ever wondered about any of the hardware/software or other tools I use daily then you should be able to find it here.

Most of the links to the products on this page are affiliate links so I will get a small comission if you click them and buy something.

Software

  • VS code is my code editor of choice. I like how simple and customisable it is.
  • I use a theme I created called LubnaDev and have it setup using the Jetbrains Mono font which is available for free.
  • Brave is my main browser which I switched to for better privacy options - it also auto declines most cookie pop ups which is nice.
  • All my designs are created in Figma, including my Instagram carousels.
  • Notion is my digital note book for both planning and note taking.

Desk setup

  • 14" Macbook pro (M2) for my job - I prefer the smaller one as it's easier to carry around.
  • I also have a PC that I custom built which is what I usually use for everything when I'm off the job.
  • LG 39.7” Curved UltraWide monitor, which I mainly use with my PC but also my Macbook when I'm working from home
  • Logitech MX Keys S keyboard and Logitech MX Master 3S mouse - both in pale grey. I highly recommend both, especially for people who switch between devices (you can connect up to 3 devices at a time and easily switch between them).
  • Logitech Studio Series Desk Mat - which I like because it matches my setup but it's also washable!
  • Logitech Streamcam mainly for video calls - it's a pretty good camera but I wish the wire was a little longer and could be detached from the camera itself.
  • JLab GO Work Pop wireless headset in Lilac for calls and watching videos on my PC - these are great as the battery lasts well and they are very comfy to wear.

On the go

  • Currently using a Pixel 8 Pro Adnroid phone in Porcelain - I've always had android phones and this is my second Pixel.
  • Pixel watch 2, but I don't use it very often as I find it a little bulky on my small wrist.
  • A purple iPad Air 5th Gen along with the Apple Pencil 2 for when I want to do some drawing or play games on the go.
  • Skullcandy Method Active wireless earphones for listening to audio books - I like to have connected earphones that can hang around my neck when not in use as I would loose the individual ones!

Miscellaneous

  • Flexispot Pro Series E7 standing desk frame with an Ikea BEKANT desk top which has nice rounded corners
  • An Autonomous ErgoChair Pro which I've had for a few years now and it's very comfrotable.
  • ZINZ Slim & Expandable Laptop Backpack - this is a new addition in 2025 but so far I've enjoyed using it. I usually keep it collapsed but it's really useful to be able to extend it when I need to carry something bigger.
